I have to agree with the majority of these answerers....Buy a Ford Fusion.

Here's a few reasons why:

Don't listen to the guy above me. The Pontiac Solstice was a Pontiac, and now is imported to Europe to be sold as an Opel GT. The same with the Impala. He doesn't know his butt from a whole in the ground. Buy an American car. Buy a Ford Fusion. Not only did it beat the Toyota and Honda alternatives in a Car and Driver shootout, but it looks better too. Just because a Toyota is assembled in America, doesn't make it American.

Oh yeah, about Chrysler not being American, it operates independently from Mercedes, and all of the R&D and business ends of Chrysler operate in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Holden is the most popular car followed by Ford in Australia with Japanese cars coming in third place. I have had a few Toyota Corolla's and they were very good on mileage compared to the heavy Holden's and Fords. No car these days are cheap to repair these days and spare parts may be a little costly in the end. Although make sure your new car has a long warranty and their are the end of range cars that could be going a little cheaper than the new models coming on stream. With cash you can bargain down and with your good looks that shouldn't be too difficult there mate. Glad to see you scored another job mate by the sounds of it so some people are picking up employment which is very good sign of the economy stabilising. So if your finances are in good shape and this new job looks promising then go for it mate.

Honda's are still the most reliable cars in the world. Only 8% of them get reported with mechanical problems and Toyota has problems with 15% of their cars. I read it in an article. Toyota has more choices, but honda's are more reliable and much more sporty. The features Honda and Toyota offer are the same.

Your off to a good start Hondas and Toyotas are really the longest lasting without having to do alot of work cars. I have a 92 Toyota Celica and in its whole life, oilchanges, plugs, wires, transmission flush, tire rotation, new headlight bulbs, air filter and gas has kept me on the road and still running good. Cant say that for my sisters Chevy about the same year old. However I know people who have had a Honda forever, it seems like Hondas are really good to fix up put body kits on etc. I guess this decision should be based on how much your going to have to pay. Good Luck

You should buy American cars my friend. If you like Toyota or Honda try looking at Saturn or Chrysler.

Either of the 2 are fine for both are top in their markets.

I work in the car industry so I can say this......to those fools that think "buy American" means American jobs, you are so lost. GM, Chrysler, Ford has more plants outside of the USA than in. And most Toyota's and Honda's that we buy in the USA are built in the USA by American workers and the parts come from American part companies that employee American workers.

Does GM do this? No. Does Ford do this? No. Does Chrysler (who is owned by a foreign company so they aren't American anyways) do this? No.

Chevy Blazer, made in Canada along with most of the trucks.
Chevy cars are built in Mexico or are imported from the UK and Australia from the Opel and Holden brands that GM owns there. The new Impala and the entire new car line for Saturn are all Opels. The new Saturn and Pontiac 2 seater coupe is the Opel GT. The Cadillac Catera was an Opel. The Pontiac GTO is a Holden car that has been around for years more than we have ever see it.

People that spew "buy American" have no clue what they speak of or just repeat what their parents said. For yes, it was once true, buy American to help America. But that doesn't work now. And its clear cause who is hurting the most out of all car makers? GM, Ford, Chrysler.....funny how that is, isn't it.

I like Honda cars because they handle better and are more fun to drive. Both are good choices.
