No, it's not too late at all!!! A lot of women don't even know their pregnant until then so no worries at all!! Just think, prenatal vitamins haven't always been around! I actually stopped taking them at 20 weeks because they made me sick and now I just eat a very balanced diet and take the children's chew-ables instead, hahaha. The vitamins are mostly for you anyway, the baby will find all he or she needs from you and most of the time leave you with very little to run on, so the pre-natal vitamins fill that void of nutrition for you! Congratulations!!

Well most people don't find out they are pregnant until they are about 8 or 9 weeks I am pregnant with my 4th baby and I never started taking prenatal vitamins until my first doctors visit. The doc will give you a script for them on your first office visit. So not to worry that is very common the baby won't suffer from that at all I wouldn't worry.. Good Luck and Congrats!!!

No damage done. Many women don't find out they are pregnant until they are father along.
With my last my doctor told me that over the counter prenatals are fine as long as they have 400mcg of folic acid. If you are waiting for a doctor appointment you can go to the store and pick up a bottle. If you have a good prescription plan, have the doctor write you script for the prenatals, otherwise the over the counter prenatals are cheaper. Take care - you both will be fine.

No you can still take the vitamins. Your doctor eill find a prenatal vitamin that is right with you and your diet. Some women do not take the vitamins at all since they are so large and hard to swallow. I have heard of some women taking the flinstine vitamins too. I would make sure that you talk to your doctor about bc right now you need all the calcium you can get to make your babys teeth and bones strong.

I am 7 weeks pregnant and haven't taken any prenatal vitamins yet. I didn't start taking them with my first child till I was about 12 weeks along then had to stop taking them at about 20 weeks because they made me VERY sick. I am taking Folic Acid however, that is to help prevent birth defects such as cleft pallet. It is recomended you take folic acid when you are trying to conceive but I didn't start taking it till I found out I was pregnant. Hope this information helped a little bit. Congratz on the pregnancy and good luck.

Of course not! It is never two late to start taking vitamins. Unless you out drinking and doing drugs every day. Then there is not real damage being done. The average mom learns of her new baby at about 8 - 10 weeks anyway and as long as you keep yourself heathly from this point on you have nothing to worry about!

It is never too late to take prenatal vitamins. There isn't necessarily "damage" that has been done by not taking them, but the baby will be healthier if you start taking them.
Go for it!

Your question doesnt make any sense your supposed to take prenatal vitamins when your pregnant. I'm assuming you are going to go through with the pregnancy if that's the case I suggest you see your doctor and go ahead and take prenatal vitamins that's what they are there for.
