I have a 1999 Saturn SL2. Its starts off really bad, even dies frequently until warmed up. I can have the gas all the way down, barely stays alive, then engine roars, engine dies. Once its warmed up, not so much a problem. Turn it off for a few mins., return, dies alot again. i thought it might be a fuel filter, but I cant find one anywhere. Any suggestions?

The fuel filter is located on the underbody at the forward edge of the left-side of the fuel tank.
Ps fuel filters should be changed around 30,000 miles, especially since they are so easy to change. It's better than waiting for your pump to go out. But I agree that it doesn't sound like a fuel problem.

to find fuel filter go to advance and get the guy/gal to let you look at computer ..the fuel system parts page will have schematic..or but the shop manual there. but its not a fuel problem...it a temp sensor or just needs a tune up,,11 years oud...look at the plugs and wires first.
