Hollywood seems to project violent solutions to serious problems. I am not sure that children know that Hollywood is entertainment, and seeing how violence has grown in our world today, I am not sure what people really think about violent solutions to situations like having to deal with bullies. What do you think?

Natural ego, I relate to self preservation or family preservation, where as self control means fate will be the judge with natural consequences to the agressor. I hope this will clarify.

Revenge, in and of itself, is a different concept than justice.
Justice demands an accounting of actions and deeds to provide a commesurate and reserved payment. Taking someone to court to get back the money they stole/borrowed, whether it be through mandated work-compensation, garnishment of wages, or simply a time of isolation in a correctional facility (if the said amount cannot be paid back) is how justice is done. It is done slowly to ensure that any emotional inclinations are hindered from interferring with the proceeding, so that a fair and level accounting can take place.
Revenge, on the other hand, seeks to address not the physical aspects of the crime but the emotional and psychological aspects. Because of this, revenge can entail acts and methods that go far beyond the parameters of the original crime.
Taking someone to jail for stealing your money is justice; breaking into that person's house, smashing all their furniture, shooting their dog, selling off their children, and then garrotting them and their partner, after cleaning out their safe, is an act of revenge.

Sadly Depending upon the judicial system does not protect you in a time of crisis. Self preservation however will. Violence on TV yes is for the entertainment of the conflict and violence our subconscious seems to thrive on in a sadistic mannerism such as wresting, full contact mixed martial arts, boxing, football and even my all time favourite to hate. Joe VS Smoes. Where bad talk and violence is liked by show of ratings people have given by watching. Nealson ratings ?

Violence isn't the answer to anything, but since the world will continue to get worse until time is no more (Revelation) I don't think anyone will EVER convince people of that. So much for the peace promotors...I admire their efforts.
