to start with i am from dubai and im proud of being an arab and muslim, the only thing that disturbs me is the negative perception that the americans have for the arabs well ive been all over the states from vegas to san francicso seatle idaho and many more and i loved the people evethough what i hear is totaly opposite so i would like to say that arabs or"muslims" are very open minded i mean in my country we have public beaches and night clubs even if we are muslims so i dont want foreigners to think that we are "terrorists" cuz we are not and the americans are not also. I think that the politicians desreve that "desciption" plz comment based on what i have said

.Dubai definitely! Its really different. They have the best fine dining, five star hotels, the best shopping, beautiful beaches, nice people around because of different nationalities. You will meet Russians, Chinese, English, Filipinos, Indians etc. You will love it and it's gonna be worth your trip.

I am an American woman and I've worked and travelled a lot in the Middle East and Arab countries -- would go back in a heartbeat to several: Oman, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia. I was in Sudan last month. I didn't really like Kuwait but mainly because there wasn't as much to do/see there as elsewhere in the Middle East.

There are several Arab Christians or other Christians (Orthodox, Catholic, etc.) who live in these countries so it's not like there's no Christians. Most Muslims are peaceful, friendly people (their reputation ruined by the most fundamentalist wings of the religion; a bit like the far-right Christians are ruining the image of mainsteam Christians). Syria probably has the worst image in the US these days but I've been there four times, and enjoyed every time -- I am fascinated by all the history in the place.

I have never felt threatened in the region (and I've travelled to some of those places alone; I'm blonde, blue-eyed...); instead these have been some of the friendliest countries I've ever visited (and I travel/work a lot internationally). To the narrow-minded people who don't want to visit, your loss and you're better off at the Walmart.

I'd like to go to Morocco, Libya, Yemen and Algeria because I haven't been there and people I know from there or who have been there, all have good things to say.

haha, what is the risk of going to an arab nation if ur a christian woman ? LOL ! it's not like it's written on ur forehead > AM CHRISTIAN !
people in the arab nation won't eat u .. they dont care if the one walking next to them is muslim or christian .. everyone is equal .. just wear "good" clothes & behave well and it doesnt matter where you're from or what's ur religion..

Back 2 the Question...
I would like to visit Egypt, because it's so interesting & i miss it !

I wouldn't mind going back to Iraq aroud lake Habannya. I didn't really do much sight seeing last time, but I understand it used to be tourist attraction.

I think I would decline the invitation. I'd be afraid to visit any of them as an American Christian woman. That puts me into several dangerous categories in Arab nations, I think.
