Because it comes right after 12. The fear has been around since pre-Christian days, but it grew worse afterwards.

According to beliefs, Judas was the last person to sit down at the last supper which made him unlucky number 13. We all know what Judas did, so there part of the myth grows.

In other countries, 13 is lucky. In the old days, numbers had magic. Good, bad, every culture believed in numbers.

The number 13 never has done wrong to me...I was born on the 13th. Doesn't scare....myths they are all just myths! (I hope...) lol
