Are you on a new type of birth control? You need to go to the doctor, could be a miscarriage, or you could be hemorrhaging. This is not good, you can become very fatigue. I used to bleed for 7-9 days. It is normal to bleed for a long period of time, especially if you are not very active. I bled for 27 days straight on the depo shot, but I also didn't have a period for 36 days straight. Contact a local family planning and ask to speak with a physician about your problem.

If you are a woman over the age of 18 you may have some fibroid cysts. If you have had children you may need a D&C. Dilatation and Curettage scrapes out left over blood from periods which are on the lining of your uterus. The other thing could be a cyst, benign or not, so have it checked out. If you can't afford a doctor see if there is a free clinic in your area. Best of luck to you.

hi friend
your problem sounds v.familiar.
1. are u anemic?
2.pls try to have a normal period through NATURAL REMEDIES.
maybe u get homopathic medicines where you live?
the medicine is ASHOKA.J Q . dosage is,15 drops in 1/2 glass of water thrice a day, twenty min after meals.
second is, PULSATILLA 30 thrice/ day 20 min before meals, just keep a few globules on tongue n let them slowly dissolve. dont eat or drink for 20 min after this.
precautions: mouth must not be smelling of anything strong like toothpaste, garlic, coffee etc.
take these two medicines regularly for 3 months.
3. get ur thyroid checked.
4. are u over weight or beginning to be so? IMMEDIATELY plssss start losing thru balanced diet n exercise like walk/treadmill etc. dont do v.heavy exercises. DO NOT go in for fad diets. THINK LONG TERM.
5. this is the beginning of ur problems, pls nip it in the bud.
6. the ALLOPATHIC "cure" for this problem MAY not exist. all they may give you is a HORMONE like regestrone/progestrone to regulate ur period. its side effects are, A. makes you gain weight. B. produces cancer, if taken over a long period of time.
7. to try to STOP ur period now, pls take homopathic BELLADONNA 30, 5 doses/day till it stops.
8. pls DO VISIT A DOCTOR, you can try all these things side by side.
9. strange, but true......does anyone have a grudge against you or ur family? is general progress slow?? maybe someone has put a jinx on you. pls consult ur priest, do some prayers yourself.
10. dont take stress. pls do some mind relaxing activities like yoga (will regulate ur period also) reiki or meditation (www.sahajayoga.org)
all the best

This really needs to be sorted out by your MD,its obvious that you're having a hormone imbalance, and that is measured by a blood test etc.Any irregular and "heavy" or abnormal vaginal bleeding should be investigated by the Doctor. Take care. SW RNP

That happened to me. It's due to a hormonal imbalance and you're not ovulating.
Go to the gyn for a check up to find out what the problem is. If it's what happened to me, he/she will put you on the pill to stop the bleeding and get you regulated

Sometimes I have the same thing, and I have endometriosis. Endo is a buildup of tissue in ones' uterus.
Go to your Gynecologists and get checked ASAP. If you do have a problem, waiting will only make it worse.
Good luck.

Lots of things could happen, stress, other women around you on their cycles, if you take birth control, certain medications. I don't think it's anything to worry about, but if it bothers you then I would go see your doctor.
