The best thing to do is go to ebay and do a search of completed items. Type in youy make/model and see whats sold...it should be a good barometer for you. I look for used machines all the time -

Check with Brother.com, they take sewing machines 5 years or less for trade-in.

You don't give enough information for an informed opinion.Old [vintage]machines can be worth$ 200.00 while a new used one might only be worth $20.00.yahoo groups has many siters with different machines,maybe check with one of those.

Unless your machine is one of the newer machines, with all the bells and whistles, I think you will find there is no great value to it. They are too massed produced to hold much value.
