To a certain degree... I think if you have a lot of pressure, you learn to deal with it, or you fail. Those who survive become stronger. Those who can't take it snap. So it will either kill you or make you stronger.

hi.
this question has no single answer.
yes....stress makes people stronger.
no....stress makes people less strong.
yes....stress makes a strength in a person in the mind or body.
no...stress creates a tension in the mind which can make a weakness in the body.
no single answer.
to be human is to have several experiences occurring within the multi-dimensional arrangement that is life.
for instance....
you receive for the first time a needle-prick and the tension in the realization of a second needle-prick is ....a.) making you weak in the knees. .......but strong in the mind of anticipation of being weak in the knees.....so accepting a needle prick is tension creating but not enough to make your heart fail.
or.....b.) making you firm in the knees ....and stronger in the mind of anticipation because you think that to feel muscles stiffening is to be stronger and more able to tolerate what you are afraid of.
or.....c.) making you strong in the knees and in the mind because you feel you can accept the little prick and not be changed either in the mind or feelings or body.
see...?.......stress will kill eventually if you resist the truth that stress on a body can be tense but not ill-health creating.
people under pressure succeed and fail where they are aware or non-aware.
it is all relative....each and every beginning and final minutae of spirit and matter pertaining.
be well

stress is not good for the body in any way since you are exerting a lot of your energy for something, which makes your body weaker.
and when someone is under pressure, it depends on the person, if they like the fact of have a to work under pressure, to some people it makes them more motivated and to other it can have a negative outcome.

no, stress can cause adverse health effects, such as ulcers. If you are pressured to do something quickly, you might get it done quicker than someone who was under no stress, but it might look like it came straight out of your ***, and you could end up lashing out at people for it. For example, i'm 16, and i'm working at burger king to raise money for college. the drive thru is timed, and the goal is to get the average speed of service as low as possible. one day i was the only one doing drive thru. pushing orders, cooking the food, and collecting the money. after the dinner rush left, the times were horrible. I got pissed at anyone and everyone who tried to talk to me because i had been under so much stress.

I feel it could be somewhat the opposite,. IF you have no distresses you wont grow and rise above situations. No pressures at all only means things are too easy and everything is basically handed to you on a silver platter. In real life nothing is that easy to having it totally stress free.

While you can learn from stressful situations, the stress itself has terrible psychological and physical impacts. It causes you to lose sleep, wears down your immune system, makes you depressed, etc. A good way to deal with average everyday stress is laughter. Find a good comic strip, have someone tell you a joke, etc. Laughter increases oxygen supply and brightens your spirit. No one ever lost sleep over a good joke.

Pressure can make some people perform faster and better since they have something riding on them to make them want to be better. Too much pressure can also make a person crack. The key is to find just the right amount to make you strive without breaking you down.

I think stress makes people weaker. If they have a lot of stress in their life and have so much on their plate, how would that make them stronger? I think it makes them worry more on how they are going to accomplish their tasks.
