Im quite pale so i was thinkg of using sunbeds as i know they make you get a really nice colour but not to sure as i know how they damage the skin. Ive been using johnson holiday skin but it is so timely applying it everyday and even then i dont really notice the difference. What should i do?
Also if i use sunbeds will i go brown straight away.

I've got quite pale skin too and looooove tanning..but i dont really recommend the sun beds unless you tan really easily on holiday, if you dont tan easily you'd really need to go on every other day..well everyday if they let you but most places wont, then theres the risk of going a pinky colour and it just dries out your skin! I use san tropez which is quite good, when the top layer is washed off it does leave a tan as long as youve exfoliated really well..altho at the moment i'n loving sally hansen air brush legs, although its for your legs i use it all over and it does wash off easily but its so quick as it dries in like 60 seconds i dont mind having to do it everyday!

I would second using a bronzing powder blush as opposed to putting your health including cancer and skin appearance at risk. Sunbeds can actually be more dangerous than the natural sun since sunbeds have the uvb (ultraviolet, sorry can't remember what the 'b' stands for ;) rays.

I had done a paper on skin cancer many years ago and recall that info being in my report about sun/tanning beds. Melanoma is a very serious form of skin cancer and can spread rather quickly. It's best to not possibly hasten one getting that type of disease if having a choice to use tanning machines or not.

Lying under a sunbed is worse for your skin than the actual sun. Stay away from them, there are more stories of people getting cancer from sunbeds popping up everyday. Do you really want a tan that badly? Fake tan is the way to go my friend. L'Oreal do some great ones and they are easy to apply too.No streaking!

Put really good sun coverage suntan Lotion all over yourself.
Lay out in the Sun.for 30 minutes intervals. It's so much safer than a tanning bed.Remember the tan fades away but the damage does not,be very careful with your skin.I got age spots,
or brown spots all over sides of my face and developed eye
problems from laying in a Tan bed.Protect your eyes from that extreme light in Bed.

Go to a reputable beauty salon and have a spray fake tan done. NEVER use sunbeds as they are a major cause of skin related cancers. You have to think of long term effects.

Depends what you can afford I suppose. The St.Tropez is really good but can be messy, and dont sleep on good sheets when you have done it. Sunbeds are a BIG NO NO. I had a mole removed off my face not long ago and the doctor said if she had her way she would ban them because of the amount of young people she sees having moles removed, so stay away.

no definatly not a sunbed, its not worth getting skin cancer just to look brown. Why don't you get a spray tan instead at the tanning salon, my daughter had one and she looked great, as if she'd been on holiday.

The tanning beds are also called "death bed"....they are not so bad for the UVB rays- but are 10 times as bad on the UVA rays- the ones that penetrate into the dermis and cause cancer.
Try a different brand of tanning creme- Lancome has a good one.

Tanning bed are BAD. Very bad. Don't do it. There's been lots of scientific research that proves they damage your skin and promote early signs of aging.

I also have very fair skin, and in the summer I use L'oreal's sunless tanner lotion. It looks very natural and I always got compliments on it.

I've tried Jergens, but it made me break out, and I looked orange on top of that. I also used Olay, but it made me shimmer more than tan. Aveeno was a close second, but it still didn't get me as dark as I wanted.

Neutrogena also makes great facial sunless tanners, but I would stick to a high-quality bronzer. Physician's Formula makes great powder bronzers.

If you go to a drugstore, there are lots of products that will give you a very natural tan. I use coppertone...after you shower just rub it on and it is a great tan. But there are many, many more. and not nearly as expensive as Mystic tan. Also, when I did Mystic tan, I got 1 too many and was orange for awhile..thats embarassing lmao
