Most children with a parent who pays child support and who receives disability, receives a seperate disability check from Social Security. The amount depends on the amount of money your husband has earned since he began working. The Social Security Administation office nearest you would be a great place to start.

taking into account his living expenses, very little would be left over from his disability income.

You'll never see that 28000. Sorry. that is a reality.

Make plans to apply for AFDC -- Aid for Families with Dependent Children if you cannot manage without child support.

get a laywer. Call the Bar Association in your county and they will help you find a domestic attorney or if you cant afford one they will help you find a public defender. PD's are very good at helping mothers. Dont think that just becasue it is a PD that they do not do a good job. It's when you are criminally arrested thats when a PD stinks because they do not really care to defend you.

I believe so . I read that on the last estimate I got from social serurity admin . You should also get one every year a month or so before your birth month . Check with the SSA nears you .

Yes, your kids should get their share, and as for the back payments. They'll take that right off the top of his SS every month. It's going to suck to be him. I think it's like $250.00 per child, something along that line. Good luck.
