I think it's worth investigating because it's so prevalent. There are a lot of children on the "spectrum" who really need help.

It is worth investigating so that the public will better understand autism and more ways can be found to assist people on the autism spectrum. There are different views on autism...some people want a cure and some don't want a "cure" just better understanding. Some parents are of the stance that they have a child with autism (that it is something that happened to the child) while others hold the position that they have an autistic child (that it is part of their child as much as anything else). My husband and I are of the I have an autistic child mindset...3 of ours are on the spectrum.

There is actually a cure for autism, but pharmaceutical companies and big business want to suppress that information. 95% of autistic children who visited my chiropractor's office (sees about 600 patients during a 4-day work week) have a subluxation in their C1. This means they had nerve blockage at the base of their skull. This is very serious and can also lead to other serious conditions, or even SIDS. Most doctors, pharmaceuticals, and other companies want to treat a physical problem, like vertebre causing nerve pressure, as a chemical problem. They tell you to take drugs, when you just need your spine adjusted. Ridiculous the lengths people to go for money, huh?

To find a cause, possibly a cure - better treatment, at least.
