My first job at 15 was in a restaurant as a server. This was OK b/c they didn't serve alcohol. I'm a real people person and after a few bumps, I knew I had found my calling. I made $50 in tips alone on my first night (3 hours) and never looked for another kind of profession until I vied for management. Management, by the way, usually make less than servers do, even at $40K a yr.

My first job was at a movie theatre. i chose one that was kinda run down, so it was not so strict. we still had business, but it was so fun cause we'd get free movies. then i worked at grocery store. i liked that because i got promoted to customer service where i would handle tons of cash. the good thing about working at a grocery store is you can tell them how much you need to make. its none of their business why you need to make that much, but dont take less than 8.00. tell them i'd like to make 8 an hour in order to pay for my lifestyle. lol. dont do fast food. i agree with working in a restaurant but only if u can wait tables. i think u may have to be 18, but any place you can make tips will make you alot of money. and remember, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I didn't, and now I wish I would have. If I'd have saved all these years I may have over a hundred thousand. Live at home for as long as possible and save your money. by the time your ready to move out, you will have enough money to skip the apartment thing and buy a house. invest in your future.

when i was 15 I worked selling candy/crap on the street. I'm pretty sure you've seen those kids going house to house selling things or at gas stations and stores. I did that and it worked great for me. I'm a good sales person.. If you're really shy and quiet it might not be soo good. Usually your school can get you part time work and it's great experience. They help with resumes and practically get you the job. Don't always go through the fast food places. will get you no where.

Try fast food while you are young. Otherwise try to work in an office. You will get better experience, and the money will be better for entry level work. Make sure you know someone wherever you work first time. That helps out a lot.
Best of luck to you.

Depends what yu wanna do but Id get into some type of human service/customer service type job. Nursing homes are great experience. Think about what you wanna do for a living....look up job openings and check their criteria for hire...then get a job with that type of experience. If you arent worried about your future quite yet, try lifegaurd, hostessing at a restaurant or there is always Miccy D's!!

I know u may not wanna hear this but a fast food restaurant.... it teaches you so much of what you will need to know when you are older. It teaches you customer service, patience, money handling, and so much more
I hope this helps
