It is good that you told both your aunt and your mom about it. Perhaps you are seeking attention, but I think that you should consider that there are deeper issues that you need to address - telling relatives about something like that is not attention seeking, it is reaching out for help. Perhaps you have come to a time where you realize that your behavior could be harmful to you, and you know that you need help.
If I were you, I would let my mom know that I think that I have a problem, and I would like to get some help for it. If you don't want to go through your mother directly, you could talk to a school counselor or set up an appointment with a therapist/counselor to help you to work through your issues.
Good luck to you. Don't give up.

In your case yes you are cutting to seek attention since you bother mentioning it to anyone....please go seek help.
And now to the others who say all 'cutters' use this as an attention seeker...NO THEY DO NOT. Some people actually find that physical pain is easier to deal with than emotional pain....so in times of heightened emotion they cut themselves instead of dealing with it like a so called 'normal' person would.
And YES I am speaking from experience... I was a cutter for almost 7 years before I finally broke down and decided to seek a therapist who could maybe help me find a new emotional outlet...I paint now....and during that entire 7 years no one knew about it but me....SO WAS I SEEKING ATTENTION?!? NO!

First of all, just asking this question makes it seem like you're seeking attention. You need to seek help, what you're doing is not healthy. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your mom then go back to aunt and be serious about it. If you keep telling people that you have this problem then turn around and tell them that you don't eventually you are going to look like the boy who cried wolf.

Hey there, I know how you feel, sometimes ppl just get to a point which they see no answer, eccept the one that involves hurting yourself, but beliefe me hurting yourself will only hurt yourself nd thats it, we humans will always want some attetion, but sometimes we just dont get even the the time we most need it, but dont worry its only temporary, personaly i think that your best solution is to find a person, you could talk, of course you can talk to a therapist but, itll feel better when you do it with a friend. Just try a look and i knmow you will find the person.
good luck

I think anyone who is willing to cut themselves really needs to consult a psychologist. This is something that you need to have your family deal with also. I personally can't see why someone would cut themselves knowing that they are hurting themselves at the same time.
Please seek a psychologist.

Yes. You are seeking attention.
Those whom cut themselves or harm themselves are simply looking for what they do not recieve, be it attention from friends, family members, medical professionals, or the likewise.
Consult with a therapist.
