there looking fairly undesirable these days with 3 loses in a row and with the communities like the Habs, TB, NYR, or perhaps the Leafs are triumphing so the Canes hazard is not any longer attempting to stable. hi did you be responsive to that this can be the 1st time in NHL historic past that the two communities that the place in the Stanley Cup finals the priviest twelve months will the two pass over this years playoffs. Carolina Hurricanes (Champs) and the Edmonton Oilers (lost in recreation 7 of the Stanley cup finals). pass HABS pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!a million

I think they will. They are still a solid team. Want to know what the big difference is from last year to this year? Besides Gerber of course. Someone people will not give credit to. Who's the big piece missing from last years team? YES Mark Recchi..
I've said it before Recchi is the difference between a team being an awesome team or just another what if. They still have the nucleus to be a great team. Commodore is a leader pure and simple. They do have the talent, but without Recchi's leadership they don't have the discipline.

Bit iffy there. All those teams and only 8 spots (5 if you think Buffalo, Ottawa, Jersey are most likely already in). After winning last year there's bound to be a bit of a let down for the Cane players while at the same time every other team gets juiced up to play the reigning champs. At least it will be exciting right up to the last weekeknd.

I dont think so, The leafs played less games so they have a chance at taking 8th spot and montreal look to be getting weaker and weaker. Isles are gonna run run into the race head on now that they have smythe on their sice. They could finish 6th and pass Atlanta and possibly surpass the Pens and take the 5th spot.

It's funny that they won the cup last year and now with just about the same team they're mediocre.

Interesting isn't it? Then same thing happend to TB after winning the cup.

Well, if you're wondering why, it's the new Bettman league. Look for Nashville to win the Cup this year then Atlanta next year and then any other southern US team you can throw in the mix.

I Don't Think so... I saw the last 2 games against the Sens.. and they looked awful, now i haven't seen a lot of games for Carolina this year, but i heard that Ward has been awful... i dunno i thought he was there best player... i think they needed to pick up a better player than just Anson Carter at the deadline, especially after what NYI did. It will Sure be fun to watch over the next month tho

I don't think they will. They've been hit hard by injuries and didn't make the push at the trade deadline like last season to improve the team. Plus the Islanders who are currently in the eight spot have Cpt. Canada Ryan Smyth for the rest of the season which is big for them.

Yes. They'll find that consistency that Montreal hasn't. They have a better lineup, goalie than Montreal. They'll squeeze in 8th place; which puts them in a good spot against Buffalo.

I predict.....Buffalo 47%52 Carolina will win that series.

Yes. They will. The team that will fall behind them will be Montreal. The other teams ahead of them are not going to fall out of the top 8.

Yes I think they will make the playoffs but just barely squeak in. I say this as a season ticket holder of course :)
