I am 20 years old and just finished college for oil and gas admin. and have a really good job. One problem, I'm not very happy with what I am doing. I love cooking and baking and making up new recipes and would love to consider a career in cooking/baking. I am unsure of how to go about this. I do have about 6 years experience in restraunts but not as a cook. Anyways, my questions is, how would you go about finding out more information about making a career of cooking and what kind of certifications can you get to find a job?

I would suggest going into restaurant management so your doing something you like and you have some background in it. Then eventually, once you have enough money you could go to culinary school and become a chef.

You could try working from home, where you could cook anytime you want. I work from home for a wonderful company that is a member of the BBB, offers full training, and supports me every step of the way. I set my own hours and answer to no one. Just go online and check into Culinary school. I would go to famous one so you can get a job at top notch restaurants after you are done, which leads to great pay.

continue with what you ar edoing now and when you will be secured form the financial point of view, open your own restaurant!
