I'd suggest you take it to a dealer. Freon is some bad shizz.

Go to the parts store, buy a funnel and a valve service kit, plus 8 qts of freon. It should be by the oil. It will be in a plastic jug that says "Freon".
It's very cheap and effective.

If you live in the US, you can no longer use Freon. You must change the system over to a newer refrigerant. Go to an AC mechanic if you have any smarts, or you could wind up ruining the entire system.

year, make and, model? older cars use a regulated freon but, can be converted to use 134A, a less costly freon. it can be found in auto part stores and comes with complete directions. ( be sure to purchase fittings as well)conversion will require professional services.
