I have been thinking about moving to CA for a year or so since I am young and single. I am looking for advice on making the move from the east coast to west coast.

I moved from east to west. Of course this was when I was still living with my parents. But anyway, people in CA are very outgoing and welcome new people in to their groups. People in CA are very accepting. So if your worried about not knowing anyone don't worry. You'll meet people fast! Esp. if you get into a job or school or whatever you are moving out there for. If you fell you'll have trouble join some type of class rather it's dance, yoga, art etc. There are tons of opportunites to do such things in CA. Good Luck!

Well I myself was a single girl (kind of, long story with that) but anyway my best friend was trying to get me to move out of state from NY to FL, at first I wouldn't. But then I don't know one day I just got tired of NY and wanted a change so I sold furniture, and packed the rest into my little plymouth breeze and hit the road for a 16 hour drive. ALL BY MYSELF ! I just did it. When I got here it was hard because I didn't have anyone here but her and she has 2 kids to tend to so most times I was to myself anyway. But I met a few people I worked with that we really clicked and formed friendships and I still meet people to this day. I say just do it. Do it while you're young and have nothing tohold you back, itmay be the best experience of your life. I LOVE it here in FL and I am glad I left NY. Would never move back there, I would visit of course that's where most of my family is. But I'm glad I did what I did. If you don't like it you can always move back or try another state.

If where you currently live is not that exciting, it is always good to move out. And if no one knows you there, it is always good to make a fresh start. You are young, and life is not getting any easier. Just follow your heart.

Oh, you'll LOVE Cali. Well, it depends where you're heading. If you're thinking about LA, SF, or SD city, you're going to do good. Lots of diversity in here, girl. Good Luck!
