Is the Continental Divide in the exact middle of the country ?

No. The continental divide or, in the case of North America, divides, determines where the water will flow. West of the Western Continental divide, water flows towards the Pacific Ocean. East of the Western Divide, water flows toward the Mississippi River. East of the Eastern Divide, water flows to the Atlantic Ocean and West of the Eastern Divide, water flows toward the Mississippi River.

NO. Absolutely not. If you are talking about the United States, the continental divide is in the rocky mountains. A continental divide is an imaginary line that shows basically shows which direction rivers will flow. On one side of the line, they eventually dump water into the pacific ocean. On the other side of the line, river water eventually dumps into the atlantic ocean.

the continental divide seperates watersheds, you in states have it down the spine of the rockies, in South america its the andies, asia the biggest is himalayas although there is a complication in mongolia
europe is way to complicated to have one simple divide as is africa

It is in the Rockies, and is NOT completly straight. It is curved and runs through different ranges. It starts in Alaska and ends in Mexico.
