Like many tried and true methods that our grandmothers and mothers used, Vaseline is a perfect remedy for this. Its cheap and works just fine. The sooner you start with a consistent skin care regimen the less corrective measure you will have to take as you get older

Get a good anti wrinkle cream for under eyes, I think cocoa butter is way to heavy for use on face area. If you have extra bucks to spend, go to a dept store and ask at one of the makeup counters what they recommend.

Well cocoa butter may work but when the area under my eyes gets dry I use cetaphil lotion. It really works. In one use the dry area under my eyes is already softer. Use a couple of times and it will go away. But don't over apply it. I can give you pimples under your eyes if used too often.

According to Consumer Report's Vaseline is just as effective as a specialized eye cream.
I think cocoa butter might be a bit too messy and the smell of chocolate is just too tempting for most people.
You might want to consider jojoba oil. It's non-comedogenic and multi-purpose (can be used for hair, to remove makeup, as a cuticle oil). (http://www.desertessence.com/pages/bodycare.html)
For some ratings of eye creams, etc., I refer to these 2 sites:
www.cosmeticscop.com - This site also has instructions for applying makeup.
www.makeupalley.com - A consumer to consumer product review site. Membership is free.

You really don't want to put anything really heavy under your eyes. And like many others if you want to stay away from chemicals. You could try a vitamin E oil made for the face. Its expensive but pure. Make sure to keep all creams etc. away from your tear ducts. Also the under eye area is very delicate. Try not to rub on cream/oil gently pat.

Okay - I know this is going to sound very strange, but I got this tip from my sister years ago. She used to model extensively and along the way picked up this tidbit of info: Use Preparation-H under the eyes before bed. It WILL NOT irritate your skin as it is specifically designed for very sensitive areas :O) and helps with puffiness, dark circles and dryness. It works wonders without any weird or harsh chemicals and is inexpensive. Try the original cream. Good luck!

Get a moisterizer that is made for your face. They have them at your local stores in all diffrent prize range I've found that tea bags or cucumbers will sooth dry skin but you need a lotion to follow it. So I'd get a good facial moisterizer if it were me and then check into marry kay I love the products they have as lotions for the face. You might want to look them up online also bare mineral make up has the most AWESOME facail lotion.

Look at the list of ingredients of the butter. If it says "paraben", "stereate" "glycol" "urea" and other things you cannot really pronounce, don't use it. Very few "butters" are pure ingredients and they will cause harm. Instead use an oil like olive oil, rosehip oil, avocado oil or grapeseed oil which are natural and respectful. I use pure rosehip oil on my entire face and it got rid of dryness, and grapeseed oil in the place of eye cream. Grapeseed prevents wrinkles. Pure coconut oil is also very good, so see your health store. Do you eat enough omega fatty acids? A lot of us don't, so while you are at the store, buy evening primrose oil, salmon oil or flaxseed oil and supplement daily.

Don't use Vaseline! I have learned the hard way and it's because its soo thick when you take it off you rub and pull that sensitive skin which causes even MORE wrinkles if you try it you will see the wrinkles you will get in just a month avoid Vaseline
