The population of Bristol is 380,615 according to the last census in 2001.

There are 22.0 million private homes in the UK serving a population of 60.5 million people. On that basis there are 2.75 people per house.

Assuming Bristol has the same number of people per house as the country as a whole then there will be about 138,000 houses in Bristol.
