Ok, I'm young and I have really irrigular periods. So my doctor prescribed me everything in the book to help bring my period down, cause me and my fiance are, well where trying to conceive. come to find out i finally got my period for 6 months straight and it was a real period. then in feb. I didn't get it at all. And we thought ok, maybe this is it. I'm prego. But urine test proved negative and so did blood test. so they gave me provera to help bring my period down. And it did work finally last night I got my period. But my doctor wants me to have an IUI. But I want to know what is wrong with me before I even consider having a baby. What do you think could be wrong with me? Any suggestions so that I can let them know what I think! Do you think if I got on a light enough birth control that it could help bring down my menstro cycle and then go from there on trying to conceive. Could a std be the cause of the reason why I am not getting pregnant? But that wouldn't bother my period or Yes

Every month could be a different reason why you're not getting pregnant. There are many more tests you could to take - but start by checking out this message board:

A lot of women with different experiences talking about how to get pregnant.

Irregular periods are not that uncommon. You are not alone. There is usually nothing the doctors can do for you except prescribe you birth control. I personally do not want to be on birth control and I wish there was a way to regulate your period without tricking your body into thinking it is pregnant. Irregular periods also become a problem when you are trying to concieve. I doubt there is anything medically wrong with you. (although I would have them do an ultrasound to see if you have fibroid tumors in your uterus). If you stress about this baby thing you are less likely to get pregnant without help. Stress will whack out your body and make your periods even more irregular. I would relax and let nature take its course, at least for a few months. Don't put so much pressure on your body to get pregnant. It will all work out. Relaxing vacations with your spouse may also help.

Ok i had my period for eight months straight it stopped in dec had it for a couple weeks didnt have it in jan thought io was preg took test wasnt got a five day period if feb and now am regular and may be pregnant so just let it go on its own i know it suxs but you will regulate sooner or later bc pills only make the baby making progress slow down and screw with it more. When you do get normal try everyday after three months if it doesnt work and your period is regular take fertility pills and you should get pregnant soon. good luck i feel you i was there.

I have a suggestion, but it requires much discipline. Get the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". You really do have to follow the cycle charting exactly (you'll understand when you see the book), and it is complicated for the first few months. BUT it works, and it gets easier. Its good cuz it will show why you arent getting your period (maybe its just not enough of a certain hormone), and when you ovulate so you know when you are most fertile.

If you have decent health insurance, I would see another doctor, preferrably a female OB/GYN who is more likely to be sympathetic. I don't think your doc is doing enough to help you. I get my periods every 6- 9 weeks - both my OB/GYN and my regular doc said if it doesnt go back to every 4-6 weeks soon, they want to put me on birth control for a few months to regulate it.

Good luck!

sorry that you are having such a hard time. :(

If you are on birth control then you won't get pregnant (or at least that is what they say) So don't do that if you are trying to conceive.... have you ever thought that it might be your nerves? From this paragraph I want to tell you to take a deep breath and relax.

Are you exercising? Try walking and yoga and just relax. If you still don't get pregnant then I would suggest you go see a specialist about this problem, keep looking for the answer and don't give up.

Good luck! :)

Western aproaches seek to achieve the proper hormone balance by supplementing your hormones with synthetic hormones. As your system continues to fluctuate, the supplementation you are getting can end up being incorrect and needing continual adjustment. The way I think you can best help yourself is to seek the avise of a naturopathic reproductive/women's health specialist. I personally like Chinese and Indian. They will help get your own system functioning the way it should and are also usually more keen on related issues that a western doctor often overlooks. Issues that could be very important to acheiving a healthy baby and you. There are many things that can affect your ability to conceive. I think you are 100% right in wanting to get a handle on your health before trying to conceive. It sounds like your doctor does not share this commitment, so maybe it is time to find one who does.

I can sympathize with you .....but If I May let me say this ....The fact you are not married and can not get PG is a good thing ....there are way too many single mothers around who had a boy Friend who cut and run when he found out this his bed mate is now a mom and he is second fiddle.... If you want a Baby get married ....grow up set up a house hold and begin planning to raise a family .... a baby is not a puppy it is a life long commitment....which you are not ready for since you cant even make a life long commitment to each other....

Just wondering if your Dr. considered PCOS Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have it and was also irregular and it took me four years to conceive. Look up for symptoms, Even fertility drugs didn't help me. I stopped everything and after loosing some weight i finally got pregnant. (I think it was all the praying to be honest.)

no count if this is that undesirable a doctor can prescribe a steroid based ointment to help it heal quicker and to maintain it from spreading. in the experience that your checklist won't provide you a prescription, see yet another well being practitioner....possibly a dermatologist. in case you like a house scientific care, stick to organic tea tree oil one or two times daily after washing your face. Use in basic terms a average quantity on your fingertip. this is offered in the nutrition or elegance and well being area of a few shops, yet well being nutrition shops carry it.
