Yes and no. If I promise to pay you back money I borrowed on Friday, then yes, it has an expiration date. If I promise to keep you in my thoughts everytime I do a particular thing, then no, that promise does not have an expiration date.

Yes, No or sometimes. The person who is making the promise may put a due date to it. If not, the person who'd been pronised may put an expiry date depending on the urgency or the weight of the thing being promised. For instance, if someone promised to love you, it takes effect immediately and if they promised to buy you a house, you may expect it to hapen in 2 or 5 years depending on their salary and other factors.

When a child is born, every mother in the world makes a promise to love, nurture, and raise that baby until such time as it is ready to enter the world on its own.
Wedding vows are a legally binding promise to love, honour, cherish, and respect one's partner through all of life's experiences together, as a union.
Not only have these promises made to me expired, they grew fungus.

Some do. Like stupid promises you made when you were a kid.
But some promises last after a person dies- I've seen that in movies .
Just check the label to see how long the promise is good.

Yes, most of the time. That's why I don't make promises. The less you promise the more you really fulfill. That's my motto.
