It is easier to choose statistics that support one's claims by choosing a small sample set/test group.
It is easier to find 100 people with similar skin than 1,000 or 10,000 people. So if you have a small set of people with similar characteristics, it is more likely these people will respond to a product in the same way.
You can also choose a cluster and a test from a number of tests, that give you the results closest to the ones you seek.
I've noticed the point you raise, so I view cosmetic ads very skeptically. Besides, if any of the products were as good as they claim for everyone, then word would spread like wildfire soon enough.

I hate to say it but I buy into it if the advertising is good enough. Not so much because 80% of women said it works - more because they sell you the dream of 5x thicker lashes, no wrinkles etc etc!! Needless to say, I'm usually disappointed. I think getting enough nutrients, exercise, water etc are actually the things that really help
I'd also point out its not just women who fall into the trap of advertising. Men's moisturisers etc are also very popular, as are the "image enhancing" gadgets and cars and mobile phones that the advertisers would have you believe give you some kind of status

i'm sorry, yet you do not have an exceedingly good rationalization for circumcising your son. at present interior the country purely approximately 33% of infant boys are circumcised - so the intact ("uncircumcised") boys would be interior the familiar public. situations substitute. For all you comprehend, the girls folk could be going "ew gross" over a circumcised penis. That mentioned, if a woman did not like my son consistent with what his penis sounds like - she would be in a position to hit the line. My son merits extra useful, and that i might wish that I as a parent could coach my toddlers to be confident in themselves and their bodies. The foreskin is a healthy, typical, functioning physique section and the scientific unfavorable aspects of circumcision by potential of a techniques outweigh the negligible "advantages". it is your son's physique, not yours, and it could actually be as much as him as an grownup guy what elegance differences he needs performed to it. Circumcising isn't a clever selection.

Nope. I ask around, I look at the ingredients, I try it on. Even if what the cosmetic company says is true (unlikely) it's different for different skin
