It depends on the logic and especially on the circumstances.

If saying 'yes' is referring to a sale where the woman is a potential customer, then it's logical to assume that a salesman has better chances of getting the 'yes' from her.
If saying 'yes' is in relation to a marriage proposal, then it's not logical to make that assumption.

Hello there...thankyou for picking my best answer last week......

As far as i know, for telesales and any business phone calls, it is proven that a woman's voice is more pleasing, pursuasive and inviting (to a man) than a males!
Sorry i do not have any evidence but i have heard this said many times, from customers.
Whether it is logical one way or another...depends on whether the customer is a man or woman.
A man may have more authority in stature (and therefore better to influence a sales decision) to a woman.
A woman's voice on the telephone has a better chance of getting a man to say yes for the reasons i've outlined.

It would be logical to assume that a saleswoman has a better chance of getting a salesman to say yes.

It really depends on the salesman and on the woman.

If the salesman is sort of sleazy- He may get an inbred, lowlife, woman to say yes.

If the salesman is polite and charming- then yes, he would probably have a good chance of getting a woman to say yes.

I would say it depends on three things, the product, the salesman and the woman. I don't think you're going to find many women who would prefer to purchase cosmetics from a man. I don't think that obnoxiously chauvinistic men have much of a chance to sell anything. I don't think that a woman who knows her own mind and knows what she wants will care who is doing the selling. A woman who is an impulse buyer will buy from anyone, man or woman.

Depends on what you are selling and what your approach is.

A man is more likely to say yes to an entertainment center... a woman is more likely to say yes to something like a massage chair.

If you are good you should be able to get anyone to say yes no matter what you are selling or who they are... all in how you read the person you are talking to.

I would say yes for women who are not sure of themselves or have low self esteem. But a woman who thinks well of themselves woud see right thru a salesman.

To make a good living in sales, one has to be able to think quickly, and turn someone's negative comment into a point that makes the sales person (or his company) look better. Therefore, learning to do that in a business way also just makes that person be able to turn any negativity from another person into a positive feeling. That could help a lot! Good luck!
