Does the stomach start to grow from the sides (near the pelvic area) when pregnant?

depends on how the baby decides to carry. My daughter in law is carrying wide and low (growing from the sides) my niece is carrying from the front and high, her hips haven't grown at all.

Everybody is different. In my first pregnancy I got a little "baby bump" right in the middle, which then spread outwards until I was fat as a cow and wide as a barn. However in my second pregnancy I just got thicker all over with the round pregnant look coming later.

EVERYTHING starts to grow and it can start anywhere..
