Some women experience "morning sickness" when labor is approaching. I had it with my second. I was sick to my stomach for about a week, and then a few days before going into labor I was actually vomiting quite a bit.

My doctor told me that was normal for some, not everyone goes through it, but if you're concerned you should call your doctor.

Same thing happened to me during my 9th month. I couldn't keep my breakfast down (it only hit me in the morning). Weird thing is that I never had morning sickness before that.

It could have something to do with labour being around the corner. I threw up 3 times during my labour.

I found that 7-Up and soda crackers helped with the nausea. As well, take your prenatal at night before you go to bed if you can, and never have an empty stomach as this seems to make the nausea worse. That really helped me.

oh dear. at 38 weeks you should be ready. You do know that this is flue time right? course this makes it hard if you are in transistion. but you would be in a lot of pain if it was transistion.
your doc can perscribe you a antinaesuea med. If you have it more than a week. Oh and you do have to drink you could be dehydrateing yourself. my 4 year old just did that. they said the reason she couldn't stop throwing up was because she was dehydrated. I think you better call your doctor now that I think about it. lets make sure!!! better safe then sorry.

As you probably know, pregnancy is pretty unpredictable... it could be morning sickness... it could be that you're getting close... but... it could also just be that the wee one has got his/her foot on something and keeps kicking it, which is making your tummy turn.
My best friend when I had pregnancy nausea was actually lemon juice... or anything with citric acid (I'd drink about 3 bottles of Orange Juice a day lol)... but I actually carried a little lemon-shaped "reallemon" dropper in my bag and took little "shots" on my tongue every time I felt nauseated. Surprisingly it really worked.

At 38 weeks pregnant you shouldn't be having morning sickness. Have you spoken to your obstetrician? You might have a stomach virus. I would suggest you call and explain your symptoms to him..he is better qualified than anyone here on Yahoo to answer for you.
Congrats & good luck!

Sorry, don't have much advice for you except to deal with it. I had "morning" sickness my whole pregnancy and i tried raspberry tea, the crackers, etc. and nothing worked. listen to your body. maybe since you're at the end of your pregnancy your hormones may be off and you should rest more.

i Dunno.. it may have something to do with labor. I found those "preggie pops" really help me when i'm feeling sick. Esp the ones with lavender in them.(you can get them at most maternity stores.)
good luck.
