Please dont buy gear online, its one of the biggest mistakes there is! Try and find some used gear at an affordable price, you dont want to get new cheapo gear rather than quality used gear. Ask around at a local dive shop, they might be looking to sell some of their old rental equipment or they know someone who wants to get rid of their stuff and would be willing to sell cheap. Most dive shops have a decent selection of used gear, just make sure someone from the shop checks it over to make sure its still sound stuff. If you have the chance, try before you buy.

Do you really want to trust your LIFE to cheap dive gear?
I suppose you could spend your savings on a nicer coffin, if you assume that your body will be found.
