I needed to fill my pool last year, and our yellow pages had a category for pool -- water. It was $250 for 5,000 gal., delivered.

If you live near a city fire hydrant most cities will install a tempoary meter and charge a fee less than normal rates since it will not be drained into the waste system and so they do not have to charge sewage user fees.

Another idea is if you are in a rural area and have a volunteer fire dept. they might fill it with a tanker for a donation.
