I just answered this question (except it was worded differently because it was from a girl). Love is not a feeling, or an emotion. It has nothing to do with commonalities. I was once told, if you want to find the right person, then be the right person. Love is more about how you treat the other person, not how they make you feel. This is what love really is:
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

it will be a forever kind of thing. Don't settle make the most of your life. Love is really just a four letter word and it is either said too much or not enough. Move one and find someone you have more in common with besides love.

I believe that as long as you are sexually attracted to each other then it can work.
Having different interests will keep a sparkle in the relationship as long as you both respect each others thoughts and beliefs.
Good sex will always keep you close!

u dont need anything in common coz opposites attract. opposite interests, opposite perosnalitoies etc etc.
