Why are the 76ers so bad? I have been a fan since the Dr. J era and this team seems to be a perenial loser. Is it bad drafting? Not signing good free agents? I think it's poor decisions. Look at all the players they once had that do well with other teams. What is it going to take this team to become a winner, and how long? Espically since the Iverson drama is gone.

I think they've made their turnaround this year. The worst things they did were to sign overpaid players, with no chemistry and poor defense. Drafting wasn't too hot either. Now that they've cleared the payroll, and dumped Webber (who didn't care) and Iverson ( who takes miserable shots and doesn't play championship D) they can start over. Now's a good time since this draft is supposed to be the deepest in a decade. The Sixers won't do too bad in the draft even without the top pick. There's nowhere to go but up.

I think poor decisions definitely have something to do with why the 76ers are so bad. It was almost as if after the 2001 finals the organization had no intention on ever trying to build a championship team again. Also I agree with the poster who said Mo Cheeks has to go. He's a good coach but this team needs someone hard and that is a disciplinarian who will push this young team.

Mo Cheeks has got to go. The team just seem to find any continuity at all.
