I love the game of baseball and have since I was very young. But I only follow college baseball and down since these cheating super stars took over the game. I watched baseball exclusively until 1999 when the Baroid, and his pals ruined my favorite sport. The final straw was the weak response from the league president. And to top that off these cheaters are allowed to be in the HOF while shoeless joe and pete sit on the sidelines. I am now a fulltime NFL and NBA fan. Yes I know that steroids are prevalent in these also but at least the leagues acknowledged that there was a problem before congress had to drag them through the mud. MLB was and is completely content to profit from it. I will always love this game but can't understand why so many people still follow MLB.

Sometimes I feel the way you do but as you said, "I love the game of baseball...." I hope that eventually baseball will stand up to the plate and do the right thing. Bud Selig is not a real commissioner, he's only the mouth piece for the owners. All the owners care about is the all mighty dollar. Bonds via the home run chase draws fans and fans means money. Of course the so-called record will never be recognized by true baseball fans. Bonds adds up to a big fat "Zero".

what about people in the olympics, cycling, basketball, hockey? Those sports are all just as gulity...you just don't know the players. They aren't as visible. Need we remind you the winner of the tour de france tested positive for hormones last year?

I hate to break it to you but the NFL and NBA have just as many problems as the MLB regarding steriods. I would say that the baseball strike in the 1990s is more of an issue with people not liking baseball than steriods.

While I truly follow just the a's...I am a baseball fan at heart and it is up to us to raise kids properly and teach them that steroids are bad and not to do them. Don't put idiots like Bonds on pedestals as role models. We are the role models.

I understand, but thhe love of the game outweighs all. No true baseball fan will ever stop watching baseball. It is in my mind the greatest sport ever made. I completely understand your frustration, pete and shoeless joe should be in the hall of fame. What they did didn't effect their athletic ability. I still watch due to guys like my favorite player David Eckstein, who in my opinion represents the heart and soul of baseball. He is one of the smallest guys on the field and doesn;t take steroids. Instead he gives 110% on the field which is what matters. I love the fact that he still sprints to first base after a walk. THAT IS BASEBALL.

Because about 5 - 10% of the players use steroids. I like watching the other 90%

I do believe baseball needs a stronger testing policy, but I'm not going to let a few bad apples ruin the whole game for me.

I can't believe you don't like seeing a guy in a size 14 hat hit a ball 599 feet on a drag bunt. Bonds won't have an asterisk next to his record- he'll have a question mark.

I follow it because I enjoy the game. I'm not going to let an idiot like Barry Bonds take away something I've enjoyed since I was a kid going to games with my dad.
