usually bumps are forms of cancer, though some are life threatening and some aren't. Go to a vet- you can get a biopsy done to see what exactly it is and whether it needs to be removed or not.

Other common causes: scratched and got infected (still need a vet for antibiotics) or just a fat lump that won't do any damage.

I have had ferrets for pets for years also and I just wanted to agree with the others. You should take your ferret to the vet because they are prone to cancer as they get older. My albino ferret died from cancer not even a year ago.
If you notice your ferret is refusing to eat and just doesn't seem to be its self, this could be the problem. I think that no matter what you should take your pet to the vet. Better safe than sorry.

It is obvious at this point that your ferret has some type of tumor or possibly a cyst. Whether this lump is cancerous or not who knows. A rule of thumb is that if the lump is perfectly round and moves freely when you push it around that it is non-cancerous. If the lump is not easy to move and feels as though it is connected to the muscle, it is cancerous.

Either way...me nor you are Dr.'s or Vets. It is your best bet at this point to see a veterinarian and get your ferret checked.

A bump can be anything. There's really no one on here who can tell you exactly what is wrong with your ferret unless they are a certified veterinarian and unless they can actually see your ferret. You need to get her to her vet as soon as possible, even if it turns out to be nothing, at least you'll know for sure. Good luck!!

That's very vague. It could be anything. I've had ferrets for ten years, and the one thing that I've come to find out is that they are very prone to different cancers.
Find a vet that works with exotic animals and has a lot of experience with ferrets. It's best to have it checked out. My ferrets were older when they got cancer and I was able to comfortably prolong their lives with different oral meds. Get her checked and look at your options.
Good luck

i think of you may proceed to advance it out. And for artwork, attempt tying it up in a bun so as that it is not interior the way. positioned it in a ponytail and wrap it around, then preserve it with yet another hair tie. That way you may have your long hair, yet nevertheless have it greater expert searching for artwork. yet another selection may well be to shrink it off now, and donate what you may locks of love because of fact it sort of sounds such as you have quite a few hair now. i comprehend you desire to donate an prolonged ponytail, however the ends of your hair would be quite ineffective besides as quickly as you donate it, so donating it now's no longer a foul theory.

Is she limping, or chewing at it? You should probably just take her to the vet if you're worried.
