In my view it's an extremely complex term. It consists of lots of positive characteristics in a particular person. The most visible in that character would be ability to lead and inspire large group of people, ability to be a role model for that people and to influence there lives and minds. The only question that I have to this term is : Can charismatic person be a Despot (like Hitler, for instance) or is it always positive character. Having done some research I found out that firstly that word was used regarding the Church leaders and in Christianity mainly regarding the saints and people of great influence and abilities. But that is still I think a subject for discussion......

An air and an ability to charm ~ to put at ease ~ to be persuasive with seemingly little or no effort ~ to be of a magnetic personality......
At least, something like ~ 'all' ~ of that, all rolled into one.
(one day, I'll go look it up in a dictionary)
