How do you figure? I am a smoker and I do not have social inadequacy. Unless you mean Politically Acceptable Social Behavior. Then well I fail there, I don't really care what anyone else thinks. I will speak my mind if the pisses off the masses, oh well life sucks they will get over it. At least I know who my friends are and I don't have to sidestep to avoid the glass.

Good question. Most people who start smoking now are to a certain extent, at least, risk takers. They choose to ignore the associated hazards. They rationalize away the science.
Does that fit part of the definition of social inadequacy?

Not originally. But they're seen as socially inadequate people now. Back when I was younger everybody smoked and it was okay...today is pretty much reserved to trashy people. It's usually a sign of lack of education and social status. I know I'm gonna piss some of you off...but it's what I've observed in my many many many decades of life...

No... I know many smokers who are social butterflies and can maneuver themselves from group to group with ease... I think only certain non smokers would think this because they are usually too good for the rest of us... or think they are anyway?

no we do not - but we do suffer headaches resulting from being treated as social outcasts and lepers from non-smokers and government - forcing us to "sit at the bar" in a resturant, the ones who still allow us to smoke at all,not being allowed to smoke in my personal vehicle because it is sitting on government property, not being able to smoke outside in the open air because it might offend someone standing 6ft away....riddle me this batman, why are most non smokers or reformed smokers meglamaniacs?why do they think they are better than smokers and act as such? (this is not true of everyone so whomever i have offended i apologize) here's a tip, leave us alone, let us smoke and kill ourselves if we want to - we can read the package,we know the results - go bother the tubby man in the mcdonalds drive thru every day at noon if you want to pester some one for decisions they make.
