Well, the guy is dead these days (I think he died in the early 90s), so I guess the smirk is gone. I personally never cared for Mr. Self-Righteous, myself ;-)

No, it's not just you. It took nerve to call that show "Little House on the Prairie." About all they took from the book series was the character names. He wrote, directed, and acted in that series. That takes some brassiness.
