practice, watch what they do on tv and stuff, its like anything else it just takes practice

Go fast. It's honestly the easiest way to learn tricks. Switch your feet slightly from the standard way to do things until you feel comfortable. And keep trying.

Watch the pros. Wear protective gear. And....Practice, practice, practice. I watched my punk kid flip and fall for a lot of tricks. To see him now was worth the freakin' worry that I went through watching and hearing him fall a thousand times to land "it" the first time.

have some lessons theres a great place in leeds west yorks called The Works they teach you also its indoors so u can go anytime
