With any medical procedure there are risks. Having had 4 abortions previously increases her chances for complications.

I am not a doctor, but it would seem to me that too many could cause some type of problem in the future. More importantly, it sounds like she is using abortion as a form of birth control. There is something wrong here. I am definitely prochoice, but when a woman has 4 or more, she needs to check into her other options to prevent pregnancy. When so many couples can't have children, it upsets me when women use abortion as birth control.

having one abortion is not a good idea. Did you know that they more abortions you have the more chances you will have of miscarrying and or not conceive at all when you want to be pregnant. You need to be a support to your cousin, you need to tell her to stop having sex, until she desires to have a child. ABORTION is not a birth control device- it is a life taking surgery. She has had at least 4 abortions? Please have her email me if she wants to , or you can. There is so much I would love to share, however it would take too much time. There is so much harm she is doing to her body- beyond the fact that she has taken the life of 4 babies.

It depends on whether she's had the surgical or medical (ru 486) types. It also depends on how much time passed between each one. Each woman is different too...so what might severely damage one woman might be nothing harmful to another.
One thing women who have had repeated abortions face is a weakening of the muscles of the cervix from forced dilations.
I would recommend to her to get the medical, RU 486 procedure done if she has to do it. It's non invasive, it isn't painful but she will have a week to think about what she's done and it may convince her to be more careful in the future if she is traumatized emotionally for a change.

Abortion is a womens choice! Yet if you have too many you can destroy the strength of your uterus which will be a problem for future pregnancies! Tell her to get on birth controll or put these babies up for adoption because there are so many childess couples in America that want a baby!!

She really should look into some form of contraception as it is not good for her own health to continue having abortions. I am not judging your cousin as everyone has the right to make there own decision with regards to abortion but for her own health and the risks involved!!

No, not if she wants children someday. Having many abortions can lead to infertility if she continues to have them.
You need to tell your cousin that she needs to start using condoms or get on birth control pills. BOTH would be best if she doesn't want to get some STD.
Abortion is NOT a form of birth control. It is terrible for her to have had so many.She needs to start being responsible.

I think it can harm her after the first one, just ask her if she NEVER wants to have a baby because thats whats going to happen if she keeps this up!! And I think you should buy her a box of condoms or tell her to get on some type of birth control. She is so irresponsible.

Yeah, hopefully she will then be unable to conceive again. Why on earth would she not just use birth control? Abortion is NOT a form of birth control!
