In Welsh "aber" means "mouth of the river" or "of the waters of". Aberfeldy is a town in Perthshire, Scotland. The prefix "aber" is common in Celtic place names (e.g. Aberdeen). Presumably the name means "mouth of the river Feldy".

Search on wikipedia.org.

From searching myself, I think that "aber" means "river mouth" (searched for "aber" on wikipedia).
