Just wanna know if i can take my car into the small town somehow, if i can, how? And afterwards places to eat, where?
Also i heard at night you can see the veins of the fire in Centralia is that true? Additonal Info will be appreciated. thanks

There is not much left in Centralia these days...only a few hold out homeowners who won't sell their homes to the government due to underground fires. The last time I was through there, there were maybe about 11 houses still standing. It is kind of creepy to drive through the "once" town and see the smoke rising from the ground. There is still the one state highway that goes through what was once Centralia. As for eating at a restaurant, you will probably have to visit a town near there, such as Shenandoah to the south or Bloomsburg to the north. Some of the fire can still be seen at night glowing from the ground.
