i'm getting an ipod video in 2 days and i was just wondering wich color black or white should i get i was going to get a black 1 but i heard u can see the scratches more because it's white underneath but then the white seem they would get dirty too with fingerprints or somthing?my second question is whats the best kinda of case to get for a video ipod and do cases look better on black or white ipods i might get a pink or blue 1?and my last question i know the ipod comes with earphones but those 1s are always falling out of my ear and i know that because my friend has an nano ipod so what are good earphones and don't fall out easyand can stay in my ear for a while?thanks

Get a white one - they're easier to personalize to the color you like (black tends to fight with other colors). And as others have pointed out, black shows more scratches.
A great choice for headphones that will stay in your ear and be comfortable are Sennheiser MX55V or MX75 (sport version). These are secure enough even for running.

I've got the black Ipod video and have had it for about 6 months now. I haven't noticed anything in the way of bad scratching at all but I think it's really a personal choice as to the color and which cover to get (there are a lot of cover choices so it's hard to tell someone what to grab).
As for headphones I recommend the Sony Fontopia earbuds. I love mine. Great sound, different size adapters for the ear canal, overall a good purchase. I commute by transit to work and I never hear those around me on the bus or train. The headphones that come with the Ipod just plain suck. They're horrible sounding and they never stay put.

I have a white one and everyone else i know has black ones. The black ones that i have seen have a lot of scratches on them. My white one isn't dirty at all and there are no scratches so get the white one. They look nicer too.

Get a white one, it doesn't get real dirty and the cases will look better.
Get earphones that are like earbuds w/ the clips, they work good.

Don't get an iPod!! Get a Zune! They are the same price as the iPod and a million times better. Easier to use in every single way. I got my brother an iPod and my boyfriend a Zune for Christmas and all I hear are complaints from my brother and praise from my boyfriend. Do yourself a favor and get a Zune.

i dont suggest getting an ipod.
mp4's are a pain in the ***.
my ipod bbroke 2 weeks after the warranty expired, and i didnt even use it that much.
the battery also became very weak.
worst $200 i ever spent, it only lasted 1 year!
