unless of course you only focus on his skin color. this man is extremely intelligent, very charasmatic, a tremendous speaker, well-rounded, high morals, and a very compentant leader. his followers in illinois love him. he truly is a likeable man who can easily win an election.

and dont give me the muslim thing and all that mess which has proved to be false over and over again. and he may not have that much washington experience, but thats what we need. he said it best himself when he said that he may not have know the ways of washington very much, but he has been there long enough to know that the way washington is running is not working. we need on outsider who hasnt been tainted by lobbyists and support groups.

im not even asking if you would vote for him. im just asking if conservatives will admit that he really is a good candidate and a good person who could make a good president.

I am a conservative and I have never stated that Obama was unelectable. In fact, I give him as a good a chance as anyone else in the race. Should he win the Democratic nomination I will give him due consideration based on his platform. I cannot give you positive answers to your other questions. The reason for this is I have not taken a great deal of time to research his positions to date. Then again I don't know that much about any of the candidates with the exception of Hillary Clinton, who by the way I would never vote for. I am an independent and therefore do not vote in primaries, but once the primaries are over and the candidates are set I will take the time to familiarize myself with their positions before voting in the general election. The point I am making here is that you should not generalize all by the actions of a few. Those who are attacking this man at this point in the game do so from a partisan standpoint and they will find something not too like. Just as many liberals will do the same with Giuliani, McCain and Romney. It is just politics as usual.

No I don't. He needs foreign policy help, the last couple of presidents we have elected have no foreign policy as a result we're in Iraq. Obama is good at talking, may be intelligent (always debatible regardless of the person) and reminds me of another former president, Bill Clinton, who was a disaster for our foreign policies which we are still paying for under another president with little experience.
America needs to wake up and elect someone who is strong, not Obama, or Hillary.

First, he just doesn't have enough experience for the oval office. He's never been a mayor leading a city, never been a governor leading a state...so there isn't anything he can say that will lead me to believe that he would have the ability to lead a nation. Second, is being too charismatic and this is disturbing as well. It is one thing to speak to supporters in a group he can real in that are 'for' him, but as a national leader there are too many people who can 'see through' that charisma.

Well, Ronald Reagan had chrisma like Obama, he was a great speaker, like Obama, and had less federal experience than Obama and some people think he, Reagan, is one step below the angels and one step above the saints. Discounting his race and people stupid about his name there is no reason he is not electable. I won't vote for him, myself, because there are some I believe more qualified.

As others have said, he doesn't have enough of a political track record to be in that position at this point in time. Maybe in 2012.

Thats my only reason to say he isn't electable

Ok, taking the party lines out of it. He might very well be intelligent but he is very inexperienced. He has not shown where he stands on issues and until I know where he stands, I cannot vote for him.

In the US, most voters do not put aside party lines. Good luck, you'll need it.

Obama lacks the experience. Probably lacks a party-line, too.

What have Obama done for America except giving great speeches that people love to hear???
Tell me please, I am all ears.

If I have to vote for a Democrat, I think Governor Richardson has more experience than anyone else in Democrat Party.

He doesn't have experience. Would you put all your faith in a man that just speaks well?
