we have been together a year hes been married now divorced and says he;ll never marry again?

well of course he says that. It's only been a year. A divorce is very hard on a person emotionally.
He entered into a relationship with you, but does have baggage from his past to sort out.
Don't rush him or he'll walk away.

If your looking for marriage then you are in the wrong relationship. He already told you he will never marry again. So would you think he will change his mind? Do you think you would make a better wife?Your the one thinking this. And maybe you will. But he said it He don't want marriage. So stop dreaming. Your wasting your time. And he not wrong he made a choice and he was kind of enough to tell you, at least he's not a coward and letting you think otherwise. Respect that and move on.

So why not just live together. If you are happy then your happy. IF you think you cant be happy unless you are marred then sit down with him and talk about it in a supportive way. Like "I know your last marriage didn't work out but some do and marriage is important to me, is there anyway you might get marred again someday. What is holding you back from marriage."

No one here or anywhere can tell you when you are going to find the person to marry....that is not how grown & seasoned relationships work. Don't press this on a man that sounds as though he has gone through a lot. Enjoy that he wants to spend his time with you.

i knew my husband was the one for me because i can say or do anything around him, and i still feel comfortable. i mean ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! not only that i feel like he is the only man who reeeeeally understands me and accepts me for who i am, and i never felt that way before about anyone, not even my friends. he is my #1 friend. i admire him so much. known him now for 12 years, started as friends for 3 years, dated for 7 years, married for 2.
