can anybody tell me how ecko died lost??? was it the black smoke????????

After being wounded by the polar bears that have taken him back to snack on later, Locke rescues Eko. The black smoke takes the form of his brother, luring him away from his rescuers, and tells Eko he is unworthy of redemption because of his sins (murder I think is the main issue). It then resumes black smoke form and picks him up and bats him around like a child's doll, killing Eko.

well he was attacked by the polar bear first, then when he kind of recovered he went wondering in the forest looking for his brother i guess!
That's when the black smoke attacked him which is kind of confusing because we don't know what is that black smoke and Ecko eyeballed the black smoke before and it didn't attack him.

It was a polar bear. Echo was in a cave and he had been attacked by the polar bear. Lock came to rescue him and killed the bear with a torch and hairspray.
