Thank you for your question! After reading all the other answers that people gave, I actually learned some things. It DOES take a LOT to keep a relationship strong.......guess it explains to me why so many of them fail. Just like cooking with a recipe.....you have to add ALL the ingredients to make it turn out right. You never get too old to learn, and just because you're older, doesn't mean you're wiser. Thanks to you for the question, and thanks to the people that answered....one old man learned something today.

A strong relationship's foundation is love and commitment. That is from both people, not just one. All the rest should be there and if these two are not there, it is not a relationship. The other three come from the foundation, sex gets old, and has never sustained a long lasting relationship, trust comes from the love and commitment of the relationship as does honesty. How do you lie, or distrust, the one you love and are committed to?

You forgot compassion and forgiveness. The ability to accept a sincere apology and move forward with the relationship. And don't forget the adage " a family that prays together, stays together". Lastly, while I don't believe sex is all that important in a relationship, I believe physical intimacy is. Kissing and holding and touching in your sleep at night are vital.

i might could say that, regularly talking, intercourse does make a relationship superior. That mentioned, having intercourse too oftentimes may bring about one considerable different (oftentimes the guy) looking forward to it consistently, and then being dissatisfied whilst there is one evening that she in basic terms isn't interior the temper. the component is that intercourse may well be stunning, it could convey 2 human beings closer jointly, and it could help thoughts for another to advance, even yet it ought to be stored in attitude. intercourse could consistently be between the areas of a relationship, it would on no account be the concentration of a relationship.

well in my case Sex is great.... but communication kills it all when you lose it its hard to get it back and when its lost pretty much the trust and the honesty leave with it... so i think communication makes and breaks a relationship its good to be able to talk about ANYTHING regardless of what it is

Trust... I have a great wife whom I love with a great sex life. We were best friends always had lots of fun, but then she broke my trust and there is very little without a miracle of God that can restore that. God Luck & God Bless
