you want to consider putting Mexico in the top 5 international team after just one victory?!! and it was over Venezuela, a team that did not bring all of their best players and only had one goal keeper. Mexico needs to change a lot of things before even beeing in the top 10.
Mexico was a dissaster in the game against the U.S. para puras verguensas. The game against Venezuela Mexico dominated the first half, no question about it. The second half Mexico dominated the first 15 minutes and then it was Venezuelas game. Venezuela almost took the game if it wasnt for those three shots that hit the post.
It is very typical of Mexico to always take the game easy after they have an advantage. If they want to be consider in the top 5, they should always go for the kill, even if they're up 3 -0. They should always try to score as many goals as they can possibly can. That way FIFA can consider Mexico as big team and put them against other big teams, such as, Argentina, Brazil, England, Portugal, Italy and France. Mexico only plays weak teams from South America and CONCACAF.
Mexico is no longer "el gigante de America" we are lying to ourselves by saying that.

Of course they can!! Didn't you guys see Guardado last night?? OMGah!! Can he play??
With all the young talent Mexico has in their Sub teams, they have a great chance of getting back into the top 5. They were there before the Mundial. But now that they are falling down in the standards, they have enough talented youths in their possession to bring them back up to the top 5!!!!!!!!!
Nerry Castillo, Giovanni dos Santos, Carlos Vela, Andres Guardado are only some of the youth players Mexico has.
Hugo Sanchez knows how to mix together the youth players and the veterans to make an amazing team!!

Not yet but in some years when all the good players from other teams retire like Ronaldhino, Cristiano Ronaldo, Henry and Mexico starts to put in their newer players like Giovanni Dos Santos and some of the potentials of the Mexican Sub-20 team.

dont listen to the people that said no because they do mexico has world class players of all ages from seasoned veterans like oswaldo sanchez, cuatemoc blanco, jared borghetti, ramon morales and pavel pardo to well experienced players like omar bravo, adolfo bautista, gonzalo pineda, diego martinez, jaime lozano, carlos salcido, rafael marquez, and ricardo osorio and they also have unbelievable talented young players like giovanni dos santos, johnathon dos santos (brother of gio), carlos vela, alberto medina, villaluz, pato araujo, omar esparza, memo ochoa, andres guardado, nery castillo, guzman, efrain juarez, and ulises davila.
In my opinion yes they can be in the top 5 heck maybe even the top 3 since only argentina (leo messi and aguero) , turkey (sahin), and spain (fabregas and pique) are showing great young players but theirs cant compete with mexicos they have too many and play amazin if u want proof go to youtube and put mexico vs brazil and click on the one that says the u-17 final the second one it shows just a little of what they can do in the future against a powerhouse like brazil

No they are not even close. Once they are away from Stadio Azteca they are mediocre at best. Playing away from home, they haven't scored a goal against the USA this century. In the World Cup, they beat only Iran. They are great playing at home against a weaker team, but whenever the going gets tough, this team falls to pieces.

the potential is definitely there....what you should be asking is...does mexico have the heart to be in the top five?.....theres plenty of talent in mexico..they have started to prove that by having multiple players in europe and actually playing everyday..unlike the players that have been over there in the past...although they only played venesuela...the worst team in the americas...we were able to see what mexico can do...we finally saw guardado play at his full potential...with that starting team plus the players at europe..i think mexico will can take copa america and copa de oro.

Germany because of the fact i'm getting to understand German and that they are very stable. i do no longer opt for to bandwagon and decide for like 5+ national communities.
