I am 25 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I don't remember feeling my 1st baby so low, he always kicked up high, like right under my ribs. This baby is kicking so low, like "down there" that I feel like she's trying to get out or something...lol. Why is the kicking so low this time and so high last time?

Im 24 weeks pregnant with my third child, My first two i dont remember ever kicking this low either lol. Sometimes i feel like he is trying to get outta there lol But its just not the case! Babies like different positions. When i had my 20 week ultrasound, they told me the baby was in a transverse position, meaning the baby was pretty much sideways. Its not a concern because babies change places all the time. up until you deliver! My son use to kick right under my belly button, where his feet were on the ultrasound. Now hes kicking really really low. Its not abnormal at all so no need for concern. Its just how the baby is laying :) as he or she grows they will change positions again until they find one they like lol. Pretty soon you will have the feet in the ribs again :) Goodluck and congrats!!!!!

I'm also 25 weeks and have the same thing. This is my first so I have nothing to compare it to but for the last few weeks the baby has been kicking down low. My guess is that babies just get comfortable in a certain position and like to stay that way. I imagine that when it gets closer to the time for labor and the baby turns head down it will probably kick me in the ribs then.

I'm going onto 27 weeks and I still feel my son kicking me very low. It is most likely due to how the baby is positioned, and isn't really a cause for concern. My kicks seem to be all over the place, one minute under my ribs, and the next it seems like he's jumping on my cervix. If there's no pain, then you shouldn't worry too much about it. Even if your child is a breach baby, the medical advancements today will still enable you to have a safe birth, so try not to worry!

Well I am only at 24 weeks and have a lot longer to go but I have felt her move both high and low. The high to me right now is better because I can totally feel her kicking my bladder when its low, that doesn't hurt but it feels REALLY awkward. Also when she kicks up high I can feel it from the out side! Congrats on the baby!

I am almost 28 weeks and my little boy only kicks really low too, so I would not worry, as long as they are kicking some everyday. We should be thankful, I hear it gets painful when they kick up in your ribs.

Most likely this baby is still breech--head up--which is totally normal at this point in pregnancy. So it's little feet are "down there" kicking you. Once the baby flips into position you will get that lovely sensation of feet in your ribs again! Congrats and good luck!

When I was pregnant with my daughter she did the same thing. Felt like she was about to kick open "the door". But it shouldn't be anything to worry about. She came out head first and perfectly healthy. She'll be 3 in may and is still keeping me on my toes. So maybe it just means that you're going to give birth to a very, very headstrong and stubborn child.
