From my experience, it seems that married woman think highly of her husband and their marriage. When her husband has an affair, it is easier to place blame on the other woman. After all, why would her husband cheat, if it wasn't for her? The wife may think that the husband was in a bad situation and the other woman took advantage of his weekness. She doesn't want to believe that her husband cheated on her because of something in their marriage, so she blames someone else.

The girlfriend, when she found out he was married . If she is so innocent and did not know. Should call the wife immediately , tell her she was used and did not want to be a part of the lies . And she would have no part of breaking up a home. Then, the wife would not be made. She would have the proof for adultry on her side. But if she was having an affair with her husband and knew it , she is worse than he is because she could have said no, to his advances. It takes two for an affair so both parties are guilty . Unless, one person does not know the one is married. You reap what you sow.

I agree some with that, but as you know some women also know a man is married but still will date him, so we have a tendency not to want to believe our man would do us like that. Wouldn't you also agree some women stick their head in the sand so they can go on living their fairy tale life? Yes, both are being used and hurt, but this will happen as long as we live. Women nowadays lack self confidence and low self esteem and allow the men to treat them like this. Until women say I won't settle for less then I deserve we all will have men in our lives who treat us badly.

In my case the women my husband had his affair with not only knew he was married but had met me several times. She not only tried to ruin our marriage but verbally abused my son while he and daddy were there for "play dates" with her daughter. So although I blame my husband for his part, I will never forgive her for what she tried to do to my family. And when I confronted her about it, she told me I was the wh*** and that I got exactly what I deserved. Behaviour like that makes it hard to believe that most mistress's get lied too.

In this situation all the wife sees is the other woman who comes off as a threat. They will be quick to jump on the woman instead of the man which is crazy to me.

If she doesn't know that he is married, she too is a victim. But, there are lots of women who cheat with married men knowingly. Also, when a woman finds out her husband is cheating, she is very vulnerable and angry in general.

You have a valid point; however, that's based on the assumption that she really DIDN'T know he was married. Over the past 25 years, my husband has been solicited by many women who DO know he's married - including "friends" of mine, and two of my own sisters! Thank God he loves me enough / was smart enough to not have taken any of them up on their offers - (and yes, I know that for a fact!)

I wouldn't waste my time getting mad at the girl if she didn't even know I existed. That is just plain stupid, but I do hear of it happening all the time. I wouldn't humiliate myself like that. Place blame where it belongs, the lying snake in the grass cheat!

i agree with you completely and would like to add that even if the woman knew he was married, it has nothing to do with her, because she's not the one with the ring on her finger. she's not the one that made that commitment to that other woman. She's not the one that promised to be faithful. am i right? i'm not saying that the woman is correct in her decision, or that she was wrong, because even if she knew he was married, it's not her fault who she falls in love with, and it really should be up to the married person to make the decision that they will go through with it or not, and even then we are all human, and we have to learn that that the mistakes that we make in life are only lessons to learn from.

I agree - in many cases this is probably true. The guy is the real cheater. Of course, if his mistress is also married, well, she's just as bad.
