I am due 4/25/07. I'm 32 weeks pregnant. I was told that my conception date was from 7/29-8/8 of 2006. They really weren't sure. The tech guessed 8/3 but said it was an estimated guess. My LMP was 7/19/06. I've NEVER had periods in the 20's. They were always in the 30's. Can someone with periods in the 30's actually be fertile sooner? They always say the longer the cycle the more likely you are to conceive later in your cycle. So I didn't know if it was possible for me to conceive sooner rather than later. My 20 weeks ultrasound matched my LMP to a tee according to the ultrasound tech. Thanks for your help.

LMP was 7-19 and the guessed ovulation to be day 8-3 then that would have been cycle day 16. If you ovulate on day 16 then your period will come about 14 days later or cycle day 30. If you actually ovulated closer to 8-8 then that would push your cycle up even more like around day 35. So yes, the numbers add up and it's very possible you conceived on 8-3 even with cycles 30+ days in length.

DITTO! I'm due 4/24/07... I was told my conception date was 8/2... MY LMP was 7/19/06 and I've always had longer cycles! I've been trying to figure out the same thing you are... I feel like maybe I conceived sooner... I don't really know the answer, just letting you know I am wondering the SAME thing, hopefully any answers you get can help me too!

The only want to know for SURE of the conception date is to do chart your cycles (which is too late now to do), or if you used ovulation predictors. I usually ovulated on day 20, but the month I conceived it was on day 17. One of my friends usually ovulates on day 17, but conceived on day 9, another friend usually on day 15 but conceived on day 21. It can vary for you from cycle to cycle.
