I usually drive, but that's me.

In reality, take Highway 59 north from Houston to Texarkana. Look for the signs pointing you to I-30. You'll get on a linking road (kind of a loop around Texarkana) that will intersect 30. Or, you can stay on 59 until it intersects. Take I-30 to Little Rock. Total time is about 7 hours.

P.S. Don't use Mapquest... for some reason it always wants to send you through Dallas, which will add about an hour and a half to the trip.

Looks like U.S. 59 is the most direct route from Houston to Little Rock.

Drive or fly, it would take too long to walk.

Yahoo maps is a good way to map out your journey.
